Privacy Policy

Happy Hour Unlimited ("HHU", "we", "us") operates the Happy Hour Unlimited mobile app and this website. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have over it. If something here is unclear, ask us — the contact details are at the bottom.

Information you give us

  • Account details. Your email address and password when you create an account. Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider; we never see or store them in readable form.
  • Profile details. Optionally a display name, avatar initials, your home city, and your notification preference.
  • Referrals. If you invite someone, we record that the referral happened so we can credit it.

Information created as you use the app

  • Deals you claim. Which deal, the code issued, the date, and the estimated saving. This is what powers your claim history and career savings total, and it lets us enforce the one-claim-per-deal-per-day rule.
  • Venues you follow and deals you favourite.
  • Subscription status. Whether your membership is free or paid, and whether it is active. Billing itself is handled by Apple or Google — see below.

Location stays on your device

If you grant location permission, the app uses your position to sort deals by distance and place them on the map. That calculation happens entirely on your phone. Your coordinates are never transmitted to our servers and we do not store, log, or share them. You can decline the permission and continue to use the app; you simply won't see distances or a centred map.

Payments

Subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Those companies process your payment and hold your card details — we never receive or store payment card information. We use RevenueCat to tell us whether your subscription is currently active, which it identifies using your HHU account ID.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that make the app work:

Provider What they handle
SupabaseAccount authentication and our database
RevenueCatSubscription status
Apple / GoogleApp distribution and payment processing
VercelHosting for this site and our API

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users, our partner venues, or ourselves.

Participating venues

When you redeem a claim code at a venue, you show it to staff there. We share aggregate figures with partner venues — such as how many claims a deal received — but we do not give them your name, email, or individual claim history.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. You may request deletion at any time using the contact details below, and we will delete your account and personal information, except where we are required to retain records for legal or accounting reasons. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription bought through Apple or Google — cancel that in your device's subscription settings.

Your choices

  • Access, correct, or delete your information by contacting us.
  • Turn location permission on or off at any time in your device settings.
  • Change your notification preference in the app under Profile → Notifications.

Age requirement

Happy Hour Unlimited promotes offers at bars and restaurants, including alcoholic beverages. The app is intended for people of legal drinking age in their jurisdiction — 21 or older in the United States. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
